Information You Provide

We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use Votum.

Information Collected Automatically

1. Purchase Information

• When you make in-app purchases, we store a record of your purchased items locally on your device
• We do not have access to your payment information, which is handled securely by Google Play Store or Apple App Store

2. App Preferences

• Your selected theme preferences
• Whether you have removed ads
• These are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage

3. Advertising Data (via Google AdMob)

When ads are displayed, the following data may be collected and processed by Google AdMob:

• Device information (type, model, operating system version, screen size)
• IP address (for general location determination)
• Ad interaction data (which ads you view or click)
• App usage data and crash logs
• Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) - only with your explicit permission on iOS 14.5+
• Android Advertising ID - on Android devices, unless you opt out in device settings

Important: This advertising data is collected and stored by Google on their servers, not locally on your device. Google uses this data to serve ads and may combine it with data from other apps and services.

4. App Tracking and Personalized Ads (iOS 14.5+)

• On iOS devices, we request permission to track your activity across apps and websites owned by other companies
• If you grant permission, we use the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) to show you personalized advertisements based on your interests and activity
• If you deny permission, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized based on your activity across other apps and websites
• You can change this permission at any time in your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Personal identifying information (name, email, phone number)

• Camera or microphone data
• Files or photos from your device

How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:

• Save your app preferences and purchases locally on your device

Why We Use Advertising

Votum is free to download and use. We use advertising to support the development and maintenance of the app. Personalized ads, when permitted, help us generate more revenue to improve the app while keeping it free for everyone. You always have the option to remove all ads through a one-time purchase.

Data Storage and Security

Local Data:

• Your app preferences, theme selections, and purchase history are stored locally on your device
• This data is not transmitted to our servers
• When you uninstall the app, all locally stored data is removed

Advertising Data:

• Advertising-related data is collected and stored by Google AdMob on their secure servers
• This data is protected by Google's security measures as described in their privacy policy
• We do not have direct access to raw advertising data collected by Google

• You can reset your advertising ID at any time in the same settings menu

All Users:

• Purchasing "Remove Ads" will stop all advertising and ad-related data collection within the app
• This is a permanent solution that removes all ads across all your devices when signed into the same account

You have the right to:

• Control Tracking: Choose whether to allow personalized ads (iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking; Android: Settings > Google > Ads)
• Access Your Data: View your locally stored preferences in the app settings. For advertising data collected by Google, visit https://myaccount.google.com
